Changes to Dr. Fenton's practice and welome to Dr. Olson
May 15, 2018
Dear patients,
I am writing to inform you of a new and exciting change to my clinic.  Dr. Richelle Olson is joining City Centre Family Physicians this month, and will be sharing my practice.
I am not sick, pregnant, moving, or planning to retire.  My clinic hours will remain the same.  This decision comes from hearing your frustration that it is difficult to get an appointment with me.  I share this frustration with you.  The ability to see your own doctor, in a timely efficient manner, is our ultimate goal.  We believe that accessing all of your medical care in the same clinic will improve the quality of your medical care.  It remains absolutely appropriate for you to see another doctor at CCFP, in the after-hours clinic or during the day, if our available appointments do not suit your schedule or the urgency of your concern.
Dr. Olson is a local graduate.  Many of you will have already met her, as she has spent a lot of her training time with me.  She impressed me with her skills, and her bedside manner, when she was a medical student.  Her knowledge base and expertise have grown immensely over the years, and I consider her to be one of the best students I have ever had the pleasure of teaching.
You can consider one, or both of us, your primary physician as we will work closely together.
Please join me in welcoming Dr. Olson to CCFP.

Dr. A. Doig Retirement
March 22, 2018

CCFP regretfully announce the retirement of Dr. Anne Doig. Her last day at CCFP will be June 29, 2018.  This will mark the end of 40 years of service by Dr. Doig to the patients of City Centre Family Physicians.  Although we are saddened to have her leave, we wish her success in all her future endeavours.  Dr. Anne will be greatly missed by her peers, staff and patients.

Dr. Jillian Fraser has agreed to take on the care of Dr. Doig’s patients upon her retirement. No action is required from patients; the transfer of care will be handled automatically within the office. Any person who wishes to request transfer to another doctor in the clinic must do so through the Office Manager, who will confirm whether that doctor is able to accept the patient. There is no guarantee that any other doctor will be able to accept Dr. Doig’s patients, since many of the doctors already have very full practices. If any patient wishes to transfer care to a physician outside this practice, relevant clinical information will be transferred to the new physician upon request. There is a fee for the transfer of information.
